This is for the Carte Noir advert
I like this advert because it makes coffee look so dynamic.
At first you think its a new film that's out and your like wow I really want to watch that, and you watch the advert then at the end when you figure that its a coffee advert you feel like you have to buy this awesome coffee.
The filming uses white and red to contrast fire and ice. With ice and fire people fighting over a coffee bean. Its like Romeo and Juliet with fire and ice powers the whole thing has a solid plot and shock ending and that is way more then I would expect from a brand like Kenco.

Effective Image
This image radiates loneliness it is a large shot. There are many elements that connote this feeling for example:
• The railway track looks desolate and gives off the idea that a train hasn't been along it for a while. This connotes the idea of an empty town maybe in the middle of no where that no goes to.
• The sign post in distance reads 20 assuming they mean miles that adds to the ghost town feeling. A 20 mile stretch of train track with no stations to cut into that stretch makes you wonder what is in the sorounding woody area.
• In the distance you can see a person and a dog walking down the track. (although the direction is not that clear it looks as though they are facing away from the camera). Because they are facing away from the camera it makes the people look alone and distant. Also because the person is with a dog which is sometimes known as mans best friend which again shows loneliness and makes you think perhaps that dog is all that person has for company.
• The light reflections on the tracks shows that it is probably early morning.
My Favourite Media
My favourite media right now is probably 'The Rocky Horror Picture show' because I love oldish movies with quirky tones and this one is so unique and original. Apart for on broadway I can't see a anyone trying to do an awful remake of the film that would kill the original like 'The Omen', 'Fright Night' and 'Herbie'.
This movie is a total classic that you need to see. It's just amazing with great actors like Tim Curry who for me was my favourite character because he was totally shameless and it just wouldn't be the same without him.

Why I chose media...
I chose media for GCSE because when I get older I would love to work in something like directing. I also chose it because it sounded fun, useful and more chilled then my other subjects.
